Deepica is a newly
released pc game from Big Fish Games. This match three game looked
intriguing from the screen shots online, but was it as good as it
looked? I had to play and find out.
The point of Deepica is to match three or more same colored corals to make them disappear until all corals are gone. The corals are pointy shaped balls. The center of the screen has a magnet that holds all of the corals together. This various shaped magnet spins with the corals, which gives the player a constant moving target. The player then shoots a coral ball at the magnetically held corals from a bar that is moved side to side. The coral can be rebounded from the ceiling to hit on top of the coral bunch. Gems fall from above after matches are made and they need to be collected.
During play the coral sticks to one another, even when the grouping of similar colored coral balls fly off of or away from the central magnet due to one bonus or another. When the coral groupings are off of the magnet, the player can still shoot them with a same colored coral to make them dissappear.
Deepica has many bonuses that keep the game interesting. The bonuses come into play when a diamond ball that is already attached to the magnet is shot. Depending on which bonus is in play, corals can explode, change color, fly away from the magnet and much more. Before the bonus is brought into play, it sits in the corner where the player can see what to expect.
The magnet in the middle that holds the coral balls together has a different design for each screen of play. The magnet shape usually holds corals into a section through either holes, pillars or both. Once completed, the magnet is then collected, points awarded and a new magnet and game is started. Each level has a designated amount of magnets that must be collected in order to advance.
Serious pc gamers will recognize that this game has many elements from other games such as Snood and Zuma. However, these elements take on a new perspective within Deepica.
Deepica was developed by Fireglow. Big Fish Games offers it for sale online and a one hour trial is also available before purchase.
Deepica is a match three game that will keep you entertained. I highly recommend it to everyone
